I have trained dogs all my life and showed obedience dogs with finishing 2-UTD dogs. UTD, Utility Dog Tracking, is one of the highest obedience award for any dog to achieve. I have authored 5 published books and I have a national and international video, “Good Dog One-der Class” that is sold by many veterinarians nationally and internationally, Pet Stores across the United States. The “GDOC” video is not a dog show/obedience video but it is having one of the GREATEST dogs one has every owned. The ‘GDOC”is also what every “Service Dog” must know to begin “Service Dog” training. All of my work is approved by the American Association of Veterinary State Boards for CEs through R.A.C.E. I also work with breeders in teaching them how to socialize their breeding stock, temperament test their breeding stock and how to earn the dog’s and puppy’s trust. I also work with breeders with rehoming their breeding stock.
Once the puppies leave the breeders, then I have a program with a separate video with training Pet Store owners and their staff how to take their puppies further when they arrive at the Pet Stores with socializations and the beginning of their training. The new owners of the puppies sold at Pet Stores go home with my video to continue their training. These puppies are rarely returned. The video sells for $179 and all of the veterinarians, breeders and Pet Store owners that sell the video receives $70 of the price/video with no inventory.
The NUMBER 1 reason puppies are surrendered is behavior when the puppies are in the juvenile age of 7-months to 18-months of age. 3.1-million dogs are surrendered annually. 390,000 of these dogs are euthanized according to the ASPCA. I have one mission and that is to keep the puppy/dog in its forever home and in the veterinarians practice.
I also train dogs with serious behaviors that include, biting, resource guarding, separation anxiety, noise fears, submissive urination, obsessive anxieties of many kinds, and many more undesired behaviors. Many of these dogs are cured if they are under the age of 6-ish utilizing drug therapy and behavior modification. I work very closely with veterinarians nationally and internationally, Australia, Kenya Africa and Britain.
Training service dogs is one of the most rewarding parts of my career. I see these dogs change 100s of human lives by allowing them to live independently and for the owners to be comfortable to go out in public.

2023 Westminster Veterinarian of the Year
Proudly supporting responsible dog breeding and purpose-bred dogs Board Chair, National Animal Interest Alliance (The Good Guys who want you to be a dog breeder!) Breeder of Merit – AKC Pembroke Welsh Corgis and Danish Swedish Farmdogs Revival Animal Health Director of Veterinary Services
I am Dr. Marty Greer, JD.
As a kid, I had no furry pets of my own but a clear affinity for wanting to be around animals. My first pet was a chicken, hatched in my 4th grade classroom. Our neighbors had show Pembroke Welsh Corgis. It took me 25 years to get my first corgi, after I had graduated from veterinary school and started a family.
We went to Busy B’s kennel, to purchase a pet and came home with a show dog, with a contract to breed her. Imagine our surprise when she won her first Group 4! And her offspring produced the 2016 Pembroke Welsh Corgi National Club Winner. We have shown corgis since 1988 and Danish Swedish Farmdogs since 2013. We have the 1st Danish Swedish Farmdog to receive the title of Certificate of Merit in the US.
From the start of my veterinary career in Wisconsin, I have loved working with breeders. I love what I have learned from them and the joy of bringing new life into the world. Every day, I get to help clients make their breeding dreams come true.
I received my Bachelor of Science in 1978, her DVM in 1981 from Iowa State University and my JD in 2010 from Marquette Law School.
We started our veterinary clinic in Brownsville 1 year after graduating, knowing nothing of how to run a business. We raised our 2 children, Katy and Karl, underfoot in the clinic, while Dan, my husband and veterinary classmate ran dairy calls.
In 1995, we jumped into semen freezing as International Canine Semen Bank WI and as predicted, it changed our business trajectory. We quickly outgrew the first facility, building the 2nd in 2008. Since, we have added 2 other clinics, Natures Preserve Pet Care and Checkout Veterinary (a drive through small animal wellness clinic) in Madison WI. We are blessed to work with 10 other veterinarians and a large team of dedicated veterinary professionals, who make all we do really happen. We could never have done this all without them.
I am active in many animal and community activities. I am Board Chair for National Animal Interest Alliance, am on or have been on the boards of the Society for Theriogenology, The American Veterinary Medical Law Association, The Society for Veterinary Medical Ethics, the Wisconsin Veterinary Examining Board, and the AVMA and WVMA committees. We have raised 6 pups for Canine Companions for Independence.
In 2023, I received the Westminster Veterinarian of the Year, by a popular vote of dog breeders and owners across the US.
In 2020, I received the John Steiner Award for Practitioner Excellence from the Society for Theriogenology. In addition to practice, I work for Revival Animal Health, as their Director of Veterinary Services.
I am a serious foodie, and love to visit small breweries. We love to travel, cook, and do photography.
In 2015, I published the book “Canine Reproduction and Neonatology” for Veterinarians, Veterinary staff and breeders. In 2019, I published “Your Pandemic Puppy” to help new pet owners keep their puppies for a lifetime.
My passion is to educate clients. I enjoy this in all forums – in the exam room, in small groups, in public presentations and on Facebook. My favorite topics are canine reproduction and puppy care. Over the years, I have developed a strong interest in managing canine breedings, high risk pregnancies, male and female infertility and neonatal care.
