Customer Survey: Issue 2
This is part two of the article The Results Are In. In the last issue, we covered a lot of information
about what potential customers want to see when they look to purchase a puppy, and what’s important to them.
In Issue 5 of TDJ in this column, we asked participants if they are familiar with and would support a program like the Canine Care Certified program. 33% of them said they are familiar with the program, and 88% said they would support it. Only 6 of the people that knew anything about the program said they would not support it.
Now, in this issue, we’re going to see if the people that support the program would actually pay more or choose a puppy coming from a program like this over one that does not. Please remember that there are lots of other good reasons to keep becoming more ethical and stepping up our game, but in this article we are talking only about the monetary gain that can happen.

79% Yes
21% No
And there it is! 79% of the 200 plus participants that we asked said they would pay more for a puppy coming from a program like the Canine Care Certified program. And remember, only 33% of them even know what it is. That goes to show that being part of something creditable is worthwhile, for multiple reasons, some of which the participants listed as follows:

In issue 6 of TDJ, you probably saw the great article in the Customer Care, about how important it is send enough with your puppies to their new homes that the new owner feels prepared, all while not overwhelming them with useless products.
The final results are in that we received from puppy buyers and what they are considering when purchasing a new puppy.
